Day 1: Arrival and Relaxation at Glenlowren
Afternoon
Arrive at Glenlowren in the late afternoon and check in to your accommodation at the Farmstead. Take some time to explore the 100-acre property and stroll around the grounds. Enjoy the countryside as you settle into your home away from home.
Evening
For dinner, you have two great options. You can prepare a meal in the well-equipped kitchen using local produce, or you can choose to dine out at one of the nearby restaurants. Consider heading to Balgownie Estate for a fine dining experience or the Yarra Glen Pub for a casual meal. Either way, you’ll start your stay with a taste of the Yarra Valley’s local flavours.

Day 2: Gardens and Heritage
Morning – Alowyn Gardens
Begin your day at Alowyn Gardens, exploring seven acres of meticulously designed gardens, each with its own distinct theme. Wander through the formal parterre, lush flower beds, and tranquil woodland areas, all offering inspiration and serenity. The gardens also feature a nursery and a charming café, making it a perfect spot to enjoy a peaceful morning surrounded by nature’s beauty.
Lunch – Coombe Yarra Valley
Head to Coombe Yarra Valley for a delightful lunch that showcases the region’s fresh produce. Enjoy your meal while taking in the stunning views of the surrounding vineyards.
Afternoon – Coombe Yarra Valley Garden Tour
After lunch, join a guided tour of the historic gardens at Coombe Yarra Valley. Led by knowledgeable guides, this one-hour tour will take you through the perfectly manicured grounds, offering insights into the life and legacy of Dame Nellie Melba.

If you’re visiting on a Saturday, consider stopping at the Healesville Organic Market before heading to Rayner’s. This small yet vibrant market is perfect for picking up fresh produce and local goods.
